Shirley's woven shawls, shrugs, ponchos, scarves, tea towels, hand towels, table linens, rugs, baby blankets, and tartans, can be found in Indonesia, Britain, Switzerland, and New York City. She was awarded an Ontario Handweavers and Spinners Scholarship in 1997.

Many of Shirley’s creations are one of a kind, including a piece created for the Museum of Grand Manan Island in New Brunswick.

Fulfilling her dreams to be a teacher Shirley has taught weaving to children ages six to fourteen including over 90 students from grades one through eight at local schools. Weaving classes for children and adults continue to be taught at her studio in Barry's Bay.

A weaver for 20 years, Shirley and her husband have lived in the Madawaska valley since 1997.

Custom orders are welcome. The studio is open by request or by chance.
