With my 30+ years experience working with clay, I strive to fuse together ancient traditions and techniques with my contemporary design sensibilities in the creation of a wide range of functional and one-of-a-kind Soda Glazed Pottery.

The seasonally diverse environment that surrounds my rural studio influences the forms and surfaces of my work. I do not attempt to replicate nature, rather to evoke the essence of it. Just as in nature where no two leaves or flowers are the same shape or colour, each piece of my pottery needs to retain the markings of the maker and the variations and nuances of the Soda Firing, making each piece unique.

Hill Pottery Studio and Hillside Paintings and Pottery Showroom are located in the Village of Wilno, Ontario, Canada. Wilno is in the Madawaska Valley region, renowned for its rugged natural beauty and creative, resourceful people.

Open May long weekend to Thanksgiving, Wednesday to Saturday from 11 - 4.
