Kim received her Honours Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Waterloo and attended the independent Art’s Sake Inc. in Toronto. She has worked in oil on canvas for over 25 years, inspired by the colourist tradition. Working from her log cabin/studio surrounded by bush, gardens, and small livestock, has provided her with the gifts of endless subject matter and the quiet needed to see and render its beauty. Her show venues include the University of Waterloo Gallery, Gallery Stratford, and the Robert McLaughlin Gallery. She has received grants from the Ontario Arts Council and the Sheila Hugh Mackay Foundation. Her work is in collections in North America, Europe, and Japan. Kim's studio is open by appointment year round. |
