"As an artist I am inspired by nature's many seasons and infinite moods of light, color and form. It is here that paint and canvas come together to renew my soul."

Linda has lived close to the land and nature for 40 years. Her work reflects her passion for the wilderness which speaks vibrantly as an advocate for nature. She enjoys painting on site, in all seasons.

Adventure in art has become a credo to live by with frequent camping, canoe, and painting rendezvous in the wilds of Algonquin.

Closer to home Linda enjoys the farms with pastoral hills, rivers and historic landmarks to paint. In the winter months she paints her award-winning iconic wilderness studio paintings that she has become well known for in the Madawaska Valley.

Linda is also a "Wildwomen" with Joyce Burkholder and Kathy Haycock. The three women painters share the wilderness vision and often paint together. Their book "Wild Women, Painters Of the Wilderness" will be available in the studio.

Wilno Hills Gallery showcases Linda Sorensen paintings, reproductions and art cards and "Wild Bling" Nature Jewellery and is open by appointment, year round. Commissions welcome.
